On Tuesday, September 20, CACE hosted a webinar with Deborah Benson, Superintendent at Parkview Christian Academy.  Benson discussed her recently published book Graciously Unapologetic: A Renewed Way to be in Christian Schools

Deb said in response to a question during the webinar, “The core of our school is about getting on our knees and bringing each other to the throne of Grace which is only accessed through Christ.” What a great way to describe what is central to the mission of Christian schooling! The discussion in the webinar began with how fear often keeps us from vulnerability as we examine what God has called us to be as Christian schools.

Both the book and the webinar hope to help schools find the right balance as they think about their theology and their practice; their philosophy and policy. Much of our time was spent considering the impact of being graciously unapologetic in admissions and retention policies and practice.

If you couldn’t connect during the webinar, CACE is pleased to offer the recording for your viewing.

If you have further questions on this webinar or would like to have an additional opportunity to discuss the content of the webinar with others committed to Christian schooling, please contact Dr. Tim Van Soelen.
