Private school students and teachers are eligible to participate in certain federal education programs under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), which was recently reauthorized by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). This presentation by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Non-Public Education will provide information about ESEA programs that can provide support for academically at-risk learners, students with disabilities, and English language learners as well as professional development for teachers. Private school leaders will learn how to access these programs through their local public school district.
